Through poetry, personal testimony, music, and movement, the impact of this gruesome event on our contemporary psyche as Americans will become apparent. Yet out of this tragedy, all of us as Americans, will realize the strength of our ancestors, the endurance of the human spirit, and the realization that no genocide can truly be successful.
Trail of Tears, written by Thomas J. Soto and directed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj, will be co-produced in collaboration with Rebel Theater Company and the Nuyorican Poets Cafe.
WHERE: Trail of Tears will be performed at the world famous Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York City.
Trail of Tears will also be traveling to Washington, D.C. for a few performances on July 31st and August 1st
